Livable Communities
A sense of place can be created by good design, coupled with cultural, economic, social and environmental amenities that make it unique and long remembered. Michigan State University Extension fosters livable communities through developing educational programming that reflects a sense of place, which is the visual, emotional, memorable and satisfaction of any community. Extension education aligns communities with 21st-century global awareness and connection and sustainability standards.
