Farm & Farmers Markets
Farm markets and farmers markets are an important connection between Michigan agriculture and food consumers. These markets also act as important spaces within communities for small business development, tourism, healthy food access, community gathering and economic development. The number of farmers’ markets around the state continues to grow and expands the availability of Michigan products. Michigan State University Extension often assists these community-driven efforts by helping to pull together necessary partners, identify and examine successful market models, establish market rules and regulations, identify and train market managers, and help to recruit vendors.
