  • Michigan 4-H’er receives national honors for photographs

    Each year, eXtension, America’s online learning network, offers a 4-H photo and video contest. The contest is a national showcase for 4-H members to express their love for companion animals and show off their photography or video expertise. This year, Paw Paw resident Megan Miller won two honors for her photographs submitted for the 2014 contest. The sixteen-year-old is a member of the Young Explorers 4-H club and has been involved with 4-H for nine years.

    Kyle Stack, a 14-year-old Michigan 4-H member from Newaygo, loves raising and showing goats. When he decided that he wanted to share his love of goats with other 4-H’ers, he found a creative way to do it.

  • 4-H member named Collegiate Men’s Bow Hunting National Champion

    Michigan State University student and MSU Archery Club vice president Nathan Ketchum recently earned the title of National Champion in Collegiate Men’s Bow Hunting. Ketchum is also a 14-year member of Clinton County 4-H—he started out as a Cloverbud at 5 years old.

  • Past Michigan 4-H’er displays painting in Grand Rapids ArtPrize

    Grand Rapids’ ArtPrize is not your typical art competition. For about three weeks, 3 square miles of downtown Grand Rapids becomes the backdrop for artists of all kinds to creatively express themselves. Any park, building or open space within the ArtPrize boundaries is eligible to be a venue, and any artist over the age of 18 can participate.
