In this pamphlet, you will find results of a statewide survey of Michigan’s local governments on their activity in planning and zoning. It is the first statewide survey conducted in Michigan since 1994. The survey was funded by a grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. It was a joint effort between MSU‘s Institute for Public Policy and Social Research (IPPSR), the Planning & Zoning Center, the Michigan Association of Counties, the Michigan Municipal League, the Michigan Society of Planning, the Michigan Townships Association, and MSU Extension. The data were updated in July 2004.
