MI Stronger Family: One-time Educational Workshops, Online Workshops and Educational Series

Michigan State University’s Early Childhood Educators offer research-based one-time educational classes, series of educational classes and information for parents, caregivers, and child care providers on a variety of early childhood development topics including:

  • Literacy Development
  • Supporting Young Readers
  • Exploring Science with Young Children
  • Math Skills
  • Positive Discipline
  • Dealing with Anger in Children
  • Social and Emotional Health
  • School Readiness
  • Nurturing Parenting
  • The ABCs of Early Literacy

MSUE’s trained and experienced Extension Educators offer classes around the state and are available to come in to your childcare center, library, community program or business to offer high-quality programming for your parents or staff.

Online Educational Workshops

Join MSU Extension’s Early Childhood Education staff for a 1-hour online training opportunity held during nap time or after pick-up. Connect through your computer and learn about a variety of topics!  Sessions will last 45 minutes with 15 minutes for questions and answers. Participants that attend and actively participate will receive a certificate of completion for 1 training hour emailed directly to them afterwards. Sessions are $5 per person.

All sessions are from 1-2 pm or 6:30-7:30 pm online unless otherwise indicated. Pre-registration & payment is required!

Educational Series

MSU Extension also offers opportunities for longer educational series around specific early childhood topics. These educational series may have individual enrollment requirements.
