Wheat field meetings scheduled across Michigan

Informal field meetings are scheduled over the next two weeks for a discussion of this year’s wheat crop.

Four field meetings have been scheduled for various locations across Michigan. The intent of these informal gatherings is to share perspectives on various aspects of wheat production including crop development and disease and insect pest management. Three of the events will be located at the regional MSU Wheat Variety Performance Trial sites, so participants can see various commercial varieties. In addition, the organizers of these individual events will touch on cover crops, double crop soybeans and any other production concerns that may surface at the time of the meetings.
