Enjoy a pumpkin patch, hayrides, cider and donuts, music, animals and more at the annual Pumpkinfest in Novi, Michigan, on Oct. 10-11, 2015.
The Michigan State University Extension Tollgate Education Center and Farm in Novi, Michigan, is hosting the second annual Pumpkinfest on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 10-11, 2015, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is a fun-filled family event with free admission. Come out and enjoy the fall season with a visit to our farm. There will be countless activities for people of all ages.
Thanks to a generous sponsorship by VIBE Credit Union and in partnership with Novi Public Library, there are a variety of happenings for your enjoyment! In the Children’s Activity Area you can take a stroll through the Tollgate Children’s Garden and stop in Straw Land along the way. Fire pits will be available and the Sun, Water and Seeds 4-H Club will have s’mores for roasting and produce from their gardens available for purchase. The wagon ride will take visitors to the pumpkin patch where you can pick your very own jack-o’-lantern.
Tasty donuts and fresh pressed cider will be available for purchase from Parmenter’s Cider Mill in Northville, Michigan. Other food concessions such as hot dogs, veggie burgers and warm drinks will satisfy your lunchtime craving.
Enjoy special activities and musical appearances as well. On Saturday, singer-songwriter Kitty Donohoe will be featured on the mainstage. You can also check out the sheep herding demonstration by Green Valley Farm as James Valley showcases the incredible agility of his border collies. On Sunday, Pheasants Forever will have a hands-on target practice activity along with the jazzy sounds of Sonicrain and the folky sounds of Art Durrow.
We look forward to seeing you this weekend!
