Over 15 resource partners available at the Pure Michigan Business Connect Forum-Resources to Grow Your Business

Michigan State University Extension partner Northern Lakes Economic Alliance (NLEA) and Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) have joined together to offer businesses an opportunity to learn about several programs available to help their businesses grow and become more efficient. The Pure Michigan Business Connect Forum – Resources to Grow Your Business is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 20 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Odawa Hotel in Petoskey. There is no cost to attend and lunch is included.

Over 15 resource partners will be there to explain their programs and the resources they offer to assist businesses. There will be opportunities to learn about tools to assist with finding and training employees, securing funding for growth and how and where to market their product or services. Experts will include information about various training programs in northern Michigan, a variety of unique loan and incentive programs available, market research to show businesses the best path for growth and more efficient operating methods. Business consulting services will be represented by NLEA, Small Business Development Centers and Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE).

Some of the resource partners presenting at the forum include, North Central Michigan College, Michigan Economic Development Corporation, NLEA, Small Business Administration, Baker College, Industrial Arts Institute, Michigan Department of Agriculture, Northern Initiatives, Venture North, PTAC, MMTC, Michigan Works, USDA, LSSU and Chambers of Commerce.
