Resources to build your child’s brain

An app from the Bezo’s Family Foundation makes it easy for parents to engage in daily brain-building activities with their children.

Resources to build your child’s brain

The first five years of a child’s life are crucial to helping build a strong foundation for academic and life success. It’s during these first five years that a child is building connections in their brain by experiencing the world around them. Even if a child is exposed to stress or less than ideal situations, parents and caregivers can do things that help lessen the effects of those negative experiences and increase the positive connections that are built in the brain.

The Bezo’s Family Foundation has created an easy way for parents to connect with experts in early childhood to get daily tips and resources to help build their children’s brain. Vroom is the newest addition to resources that parents can easily access on a website or through a free app that gives daily tips on things they can do with their children in their everyday routines that helps increase the positive connections in their child’s brain.

Vroom is based on the latest research in early childhood and brain development. It was created by experts in a variety of fields such as neuroscience, psychology, parenting and early childhood development and many more unique fields. These experts worked with local communities and families to create easy-to-use activities in everyday interactions with children that increase those positive brain connections.

Parents and caregivers can connect with Vroom in several different ways. You can visit the Vroom website and explore their ready-to-go activities that can be easily integrated into your everyday interactions with children. The second way is to download the free app available on their website or through your device’s app store. The app will send you daily tips and activities to do with your child. It can also help connect you to local resources that are available in your community. The third way to connect with Vroom is to submit your own activities you do with your children and have the chance to have them included in the Vroom activity choices.

Vroom is a great way to give parents and caregivers resources and ideas that can be included every day to help build brains and extend their daily interactions with children. Check out this example of a Vroom activity: the Sign Game.

Building your child’s brain doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming. You can use Vroom to extend your daily interactions and incorporate easy, fun-to-do activities into your everyday routine.
