Research and updates for day-neutral strawberries and high-tunnel raspberries

Advances in Berry Production is a two-day strawberry and raspberry workshop focusing on new technology and management of important production issues for commercial growers.

Advances in Berry Production,a program for growers currently in the business of producing day-neutral strawberries and raspberries, will be held March 20-21, 2014, at the Springfield Golf and Country Club, 2054 Gordon Street, Guelph, Ontario. The meeting is sponsored by the Ontario Berry Growers Association and features presentations by Jim Hancock and Eric Hanson from Michigan State University; Yves Désjardin and André Gosselin from Université Laval; and Becky Hughes, Adam Dale and Dragan Galic from University of Guelph.

Thursday, March 20, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. will be devoted to day-neutral strawberries, and Friday, March 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. will cover high-tunnel raspberries. Researchers will present results of recent projects and address important production issues. There will be ample opportunity for group discussions with growers to allow questions to be answered and current information to be shared.
