MSU Turfgrass Field Day
MSU Turfgrass Field Day is on August 13 at the Hancock Turfgrass Research Center on campus.
The Michigan State University Turfgrass Field Day will be held on Wednesday, August 13 at the Hancock Turfgrass Research Center on campus. There are two morning research tours; one for golf turf and one for athletic fields and lawn care. The research tours begin at 9 a.m. with lunch at 11 a.m. catered by Spartan Hall of Fame Cafe. Both morning research tours have been awarded two Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) Pesticide recertification credits in categories Commercial Core, Private Core, 3A, 3B, and 6.
There are three in-depth, hands-on workshops in the afternoon. Weed walk, Disease ID, and a tour of MSU Athletic Fields with hands-on demonstrations. All afternoon tours were also awarded two MDARD Pesticide recertification credits in categories Commercial Core, Private Core, 3A, 3B, and 6.
For golf course superintendents, .20 education points have been awarded for the morning research tour and .20 education points for the afternoon workshops.
