MSU crop diagnostic school held August 2

Want to sharpen your diagnostic skills and stay on top of the latest information in production agriculture? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you.

We would like to invite you to attend the MSU Crop Diagnostic School. This event is scheduled for Tuesday, August 2 from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM at the MSU Saginaw Valley Research and Extension Center in Frankenmuth, Michigan. This event is open to all who are actively involved in production agriculture (growers, agri-business reps, Extension educators, and agency personnel).

Participants will have the opportunity to hone their field decision-making and problem-solving skills as they interact with MSU specialists and industry representatives in small groups while participating in hands-on field activities.

This year’s Crop Diagnostic School will focus on the topics of insect problem diagnosis and solutions, nitrogen management, dry bean plant types, herbicide issues, crop staging, sugarbeet pathology, nematode central, and soybean and dry bean disease identification and management.

Approval is pending for RUP credits and continuing education units for certified crop advisors (CCA).
