Michigan’s version of “Shop Local” leads to $19M contract

Michigan companies enter into major contract through MEDC - Pure Michigan business connect.

Consumers Energy and Moran Iron Works entered into a $19 million contract to supply major environmental safety filters to the energy company. This contract benefits both companies by cutting costs and creating new jobs, as well as helping protect our environment.

Recently, the MEDC and Ford Motor Company held a Matchmaking Summit that included the car manufacturer as well as 30 of their top tier suppliers. This summit allowed companies of all sizes to meet with potential buyers and suppliers. To see a video recap of the event, visit Ford Supplier Event.

We keep talking about the Pure Michigan Business Connect (PMBC) program from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) for a good reason.
