Land value and rental survey 2014 - Michigan

New land values and rental information now available for Michigan.

The annual Michigan Land Values and Rental Survey has been published and now available at your local Michigan State University Extension office or can be found online at the FIRM website. This survey of agricultural professionals across the state pulls together information for nearly every county of Michigan which is then compiled into a report. Over the years this information has be highly used by landowners and farm producers to evaluate both the current trends in land values and farm land rental rates be paid.

This year’s report provides some support for current trends in land prices and starts to show that the impact of lower grain commodity prices are starting to impact some changes. With commodity prices falling back from some of the resent highs the survey support that land prices and rental rates have leveled off and even dropped in a few cases.
