Introductory Pricing and Marketing Workshop for grains

EmailMarketing commodities at profitable levels can be complex and will challenge farm producers to increase skills by using a variety of marketing alternatives.
Meeting the challenges of finding a system to identify commodity marketing alternatives that will work for individual farms is now much more complex and important than what we have seen in the past few years. In an effort to help farms with a basic strategy, an Introductory Pricing/Marketing Workshop for Grains online webinar series will be offered. Michigan State University Extension and Michigan Corn Marketing Program will be offering an online Introductory Pricing/Marketing Workshop for Grains, two nights a week for four weeks beginning the first week of February.
You may attend the workshop at either several group meeting locations around the state, or at your home/work computer. The workshops will be taught by Jim Hilker, MSU Professor and Extension marketing economist who has been teaching this material to students and farmers for more than 30 years. Hilker has written the Outlook article in the Michigan Farm News for more than 20 years. This workshop will help you to better understand his pricing comments as well as comments from other marketing specialist.
Registration for this workshop is required by Feb. 1, so workshop handouts can be sent to participants prior to our first session. There is no cost for this workshop series for individuals who can download and print their own workshop materials. Workshop download details will be provided to registered participants.
Dates: Feb. 3 and 5; Feb. 17 and 19; Feb. 24 and 26; March 3 and 5
