Integrated Crop and Pest Management Update highlighted for the 15th consecutive year
The Integrated Crop and Pest Management Update for Agribusiness featuring MSU experts, pest management recommendations and pesticide certification credits is scheduled for December 13.
Michigan State University Extension along with Eaton County MSU Extension will host the 2013 Integrated Crop and Pest Management Update on Dec. 13, 2013, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the MSU Pavilion for Agriculture and Livestock Education (4301 Farm Lane, East Lansing, MI 48824). This program is intended for agribusiness, retail sales and service professionals, private crop consultants, field crop educators and farmers.
One of the major objectives of this event is to provide MSU recommendations to potential insect, nematode, disease, weed and nutrient problems. Based on these recommendations, the agribusiness industries will be able to make their year-end purchasing and sales decisions for the upcoming year. Some specific topics included this year are corn and soybean fungicides, corn rootworm, wheat management, seed treatments, alternative forages, soil fertility issues and herbicide mode of action.
Participants will receive five MDARD credits (Com. Core, Priv. Core, 1A), seven CCA credits (2NM, 3.5PM, 1.5CM) and MAEAP phase 1 credits for this session.
