Information on control of PRRS virus available at upcoming workshop
Hear the latest information on PRRS stabilization and control from Dr. Bob Morrison, University of Minnesota Swine Specialist and review the progress of the area regional control project in Michigan.
Michigan State University Extension and the West Michigan PRRS Area Regional Control Working Group are collaborating to bring an educational opportunity to Michigan pork producers. Bob Morrison from the University of Minnesota will be discussing the process of PRRS stabilization and area regional control on Wednesday, June 29th at 7:00 p.m. at the Hamilton Farm Bureau office, located at 4670 Washington Street in Hamilton, Mich. 49419.
Join Morrison and the West Michigan PRRS eradication working group as they review the foundations and progress of PRRS Area Regional Control projects and discuss new research information on the impact of pigs entering a region as it pertains to the feasibility of PRRS eradication and comparison of whole heard exposure programs as an aid in eliminating PRRS virus from sow herds. Morrison will also be discussing his extensive experience in the area of PRRS control and eradication as a key collaborator for the Stevens County project in Minnesota.
