Handy Bt Trait Table updated for 2016
Corn growers can use the 2016 BT Trait Table to keep track of Bt corn traits, efficacy and refuge requirements.
The annual update to the Handy Bt Trait Table is available now at Michigan State University’s Field Crops Entomology website (www.msuent.com). This bulletin is a two-page summary of Bt corn trait packages available in the United States, with the spectrum of control, required percent refuge and refuge placement for each.
Note that there are two versions of the bulletin, one for the northern Corn Belt and another for the southern cotton-growing region. Refuge requirements are higher in the south where Bt cotton is also grown.
