Greenhouse Crops Cost of Production software training to be held in January
Software training that helps growers calculate costs and profitability for individual greenhouse crops is being offered January 25 in Novi, Mich.
The Greenhouse Crops Cost of Production software training is a hands-on workshop for any greenhouse business that wants to get a handle on their costs to grow and sell. This session is designed to give you an opportunity to learn how to use our new software that can calculate costs for up to 100 different greenhouse crops and assess their profitability on a per crop basis. In today’s business climate everyone needs to have a handle on their cost of production and Michigan State University’s new software will allow you to do that!
The training will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Tollgate Education Conference Center, 28115 Meadowbrook Road, Novi, Mich (map). Lunch will be provided. The cost is $70 per person. The training is hosted by Kristin Getter (Floriculture Outreach Specialist, MSU Department of Horticulture) and co-taught by Tom Dudek (Senior Extension Horticulture & Marketing Educator, MSU Extension) and Roger Betz (Senior Extension Agriculture & Agribusiness Educator, MSU Extension).
Participants will need to bring their own laptop computer that has a CD_ROM drive and the ability to use MS Office Excel-97 or newer software. All participants will receive a copy of the new MSU software to take home and use after this training workshop. Please print and mail the form to register. Registration deadline is January 20, 2012.
