Howard Russell, Diagnostic Services -
Editor’s note: While
these insects don’t attack garden plants, they do tend to attack gardeners.
Fireflies are providing quite the light show in fields and woodlots around the
Lansing area. I’m seeing thousands of them around my house at night. They are
everywhere: in the trees, in the lawn and on the house. A good web site to learn
more than you care to know about fireflies is http://bit.ly/fireFlies
