2017 Fall Horse Workshop
Group discussion workshop will focus on the topics of horse health, interpreting a hay analysis and toxic plants.
Michigan State University Extension will be offering an educational workshop this fall for equine enthusiasts that may have an interest in the topic areas of horse health, feeding forage and toxic plants.
Topics and Presenters
A. Horse Health: Vaccinations – How important are they, really?
Presenter: Dr. Judy Marteniuk, MSU Equine Extension Veterinarian
B. Forage: Interpreting a hay analysis report.
Presenter: Mike Metzger, MSU Extension Forage Educator
C. Toxic Plants: Build skills to identify harmful plants.
Presenter: Tom Guthrie, MSU Extension Equine Educator
Workshops will be held at three respective locations and will take place from 7 – 9:30 p.m.
Workshop locations include:
1. Jackson County MSU Extension – November 1, 2017
2. Livingston County MSU Extension – November 2, 2017
3. Washtenaw County MSU Extension – November 9, 2017
Cost for attending a workshop is $10 per person.
