Jodi Schulz is the co-director of the MSU Extension Children and Youth Institute and state leader for Michigan 4-H. In this role, Schulz provides oversight to the institute’s budget development and management. She also oversees supervision of 4-H staff throughout the state. Schulz is responsible for statewide 4-H program development and growth, oversight of 4-H events, 4-H online offerings and working with the Michigan 4-H Foundation.

Schulz joined MSU Extension in 2002 as a family nutrition program assistant. Three months later, she became a 4-H educator in Bay County, a position she held until 2016. Schulz was then promoted to senior educator and helped develop the 4-H SPIN club model for Michigan. Later, she assisted with the creation and implementation of Volunteer Central, the organizational volunteer management system. Previously, Schulz served as the interim CYI associate director and interim associate state 4-H leader.

Schulz has a Bachelor of Science in agriculture and natural resources communication from MSU. In 2009, she earned a Master of Science in child, youth and family studies from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
