We’re on track for a good year in Michigan vineyards. Wonderful! We deserve it after the devastating previous two years. This year’s 27th Annual Viticulture Field Day will feature a broad spectrum of topics. There will be fundamental vineyard topics like interpreting soil profiles, irrigation options and strategies for weed control. We’ll look at how the variety trial at SWMREC survived the two hard winters. State-of-the-art leaf removal and disease control will be presented. The futuristic design for Concord vineyards and four years of experience growing own-rooted vinifera will round out the program. Of course we’ll have equipment demonstrations, the wine showcase and the steak cookout. Register early and come for a full day of Viticulture and time to chat with others in the Michigan grape industry.
