This is the BIG ONE! It's the 25th annual Viticulture Field Day and Steak Cookout. Yes indeed, we'll have the educational workshops, the trade show of materials and equipment and, of course, the Showcase of SW Michigan wines followed by the Steak Cookout. Our equipment demos this year will emphasize the unusual sprayer technology and non-sprayer equipment. Because this is the 25th Annual, there will be some "futuristic" topics to illustrate how grape growing might look 25 years from now. Demonstrations will include a sprayer capable of spraying 300 acres of vineyard in an 8-hour work day, a grapevine planter guided by GPS telemetry with an accuracy of 1", and possibly drone mapping of vineyards. Trade show opens at 9:00 a.m., workshops at 10:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., equipment demonstrations at 1:15 p., and wine showcase starts at 4:45.
