Teacher Institute - Michgan Technological University Forestry

This institute is designed to teach educators about the physical, chemical, and biological components of the Great Lakes ecosystem, using the Lake Superior watershed as the classroom. Teachers will spend ½ day on the Agassiz research vessel, a full day at Gratiot Lake, visit streams, wetlands, and several stewardship projects. Teachers will receive the new Michigan Water Quality unit (easily adapted to other states).

Cost: $295 includes five lunches, 3 graduate credits from MTU, and instructional materials; $595 with 5 nights lodging and all meals.
