You are invited to the SW Michigan Research and Extension Center for tours of projects designed to help the agricultural industry of Michigan. The tours will include presentations by MSU faculty and staff on vegetable, tree fruit, brambles, and blueberry for commercial and backyard growers, consultants, and fruit industry representatives covering a range of topics from varieties, rootstock, training systems, cultural management, disease and insect management, and high tunnel production. Presentations will begin at 1 pm and conclude at 4:30 pm with light refreshments. A display of peach and nectarine varieties and experimental selections from the MSU breeding program will be on hand for viewing and tasting.

1 p.m. High tunnel production of brambles and stone fruit
1:45 p.m. Vegetable plots – varieties, disease and cultural management
2:30 p.m. Blueberry plots—Disease and insect management
3:15 p.m. Stone fruit training systems, rootstock
4 p.m. Peach and nectarine varieties and experimental selection showcase and tasting
There is no charge to attend, but we ask you to preregister so we can anticipate the crowd size.
Application has been made for Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) pesticide recertification credits for attendees.
