On Nov. 6 millions of residents in Michigan will vote on a number of candidates and issues, including six state-wide ballot proposals – more than any election in the past 30 years. Five of the six proposals involve an amendment to the Michigan Constitution.
On Oct. 22 and Oct. 24, MSU Extension will host forums at nine locations throughout the state, allowing the public to get an unbiased overview of the statewide ballot proposals from policy experts.
Those attending the forums will be shown a brief overview of both sides of each ballot proposal and will also have the ability to ask questions of the individual policy experts. Those experts will be housed on the campus at MSU and will talk to and take questions from forum attendees via a streaming teleconference.
MSU Extension educators will also be at each site and will facilitate discussion among attendees at each forum.
