Starting and Sustaining a School Garden Jackson

Come understand the steps to designing, building, and maintaining a school garden. From gardening basics to building a garden team as well as curriculum activities, this workshop is designed for hands-on educators interested in gaining the technical knowledge necessary to start a garden. Learn how to engage your students in the outdoor classroom or choose to bring the concepts indoors.

Location: Jackson Area Career Center, 6800 Browns Lake Road, Jackson, Michigan 49201. 

Costs: $75.00 (Includes 6 hours of instruction, discussion and hands-on activities, written resource materials, activities and lesson plans on a Google Drive. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.)

SCECH credits are available for teacher ongoing education for an additional fee onsite.
