Spring Breakin’ the Blues Away! A full day of FUN for any age!!
The Michigan State University Extension- Oceana County 4-H Program will be providing four individual day programs during the spring break season. Each day will provide a variety of hands on activities designed to engage youth in experiential and cooperative learning. The programming is age specific, so youth can interact with their peers.
There are two days for youth 14-19 “Exploring Employment” being held at Country Dairy of New Era which will include Spartan Dollars & Cents, a tour of Country Dairy and a Build Your Future class where you will spend time learning to write resumes, filling out job applications, mock job interviews etc. There is a day for youth 9-13 “Creative Concoctions!” at the Hart Community Center which includes Jammin’ (making your own fruit freezer jam), Recycled Racers, Scrapbooking, Improv Theater and Soil Conservation. Last, but not least, a day for 5-8 year olds “Paint, Plant & Produce!” at the Hart Community Center which includes Music & Motion, Build a Bird Feeder, Critter Habitats and Potted Plants. Participants should wear comfortable clothes & tennis shoes and wear clothing that is acceptable to get dirt & paint on. Come have some fun over Spring Break!
