White mold is an important yield limiting disease in many crop years. Michigan State University conducts efficacy trials, as well as other research on white mold at the MSU Montcalm Research Center in Lakeview, Michigan, annually. This research center provides an excellent environment to produce consistent white mold disease pressure, as several host crops including soybeans, dry beans and potatoes are grown at this facility and irrigation is available and used to stimulate the disease.

The tour will take place at the Montcalm Research Center plots, located 3.5 miles west of Stanton, Michigan. Take Stanton Road to Grow Road. Take Grow Road north 3 miles to McBrides Road. Take McBrides Road west 1.2 miles. The MSUMontcalm Research Center will be on the south side of the road.

Light refreshments will be provided. The tour is free. Registration is requested but not required. Register by emailing Fred Springborn at springb2@msu.edu, calling 989-831-7509 or texting 989-671-7460.
