Recipe for Success: Producing a Commercial Food Product

This introductory class is designed for those wanting to manufacture a food product that is not eligible to be sold under Michigan’s Cottage Food Law. This would include pickles and other vegetables, many sauces, including those with fruit, anything with meat or dairy as an ingredient and many others. Attendees will learn about food safety basics, regulatory requirements and business development resources. Guest Entrepreneur Andrea Simard, of Mabs’ Atomic Mustard will join Instructor and Innovation Counselor Wendy Wieland of the MSU Product Center and MSUE.
