Earn ServSafe® certification with help from MSU Extension
MSU Extension offers 16-hour ServSafe® training, which is a national certification program.
Participants must attend the course each day and receive a 75% score on the exam to earn a certificate.
The cost of the 16 hour course is $145 per person plus the 6th edition ServSafe book (purchased separately – not included in the registration fee). Lunch is one your own. You must have a 6th edition book that contains an answer sheet to take the exam.
Purchase your book online at http://bookstore.msue.msu.edu/, then type the word ServSafe in the search box. Purchase your book at least 5 business days before the start of class or plan to purchase your book onsite. This book includes the answer sheet which is required in order to take the exam.
Classes are taught by MSU Extension educators, who are certified instructors and exam proctors through the National Restaurant Association.
