Perennial Wheat and Grains Field Day

Date: June 27, 2012
Location: Kellogg Biological Station Dairy Barn

Time: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
: 10461 N. 40th St., Hickory Corners, MI 49060

The Michigan State University Perennial Wheat team, led by Dr. Sieg Snapp, will host a field day to visit the various plots of perennial wheat and intermediate wheat grass (one of its parents).

In addition to a field day to visit the perennial wheat plots, we are asking farmers to help us gain a realistic understanding of what is being sought by grain farmers. This event is seeking organic and sustainable farmers’ input on qualities sought to grow a perennial grain.

If you are a farmer and interested in attending please contact Vicki Morrone by email or by phone at 517-282-3557.

Note that farmers preregistered and participating in the evaluation will be compensated for their time and travel.

This event is open to educators, researchers and farmers.
