Would you like to feel better, be in control, and do the things you want to do? The PATH (Personal Action Toward Health) workshop is for you! PATH is a workshop for people with long-term health conditions like arthritis, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and depression. Workshops are led by trained facilitators who understand or have health problems like you. People who take the workshop say they are better able to face the daily challenges of living with an ongoing health condition. They have more energy and less pain, get more exercise, feel more comfortable talking to their doctors, and are more confident that they can manage their health. The workshop will be held on Mondays from May 16 through June 20 (no class on May 30, Memorial Day) from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church J.P. Wilson Hall – Laymen Room. The workshop is free and is sponsored by Mt. Olive Baptist Church and Michigan State University Extension. Call the church office, 989-752-8064 to register. If you have questions, please contact Cathy Newkirk, MSU Extension, 810-244-8523 or newkirk@msu.edu
