On-Farm Food Safety Mock-Audit

Food Safety and Good Agricultural Practices have steadily become a requirement to sell to wholesale outlets. Now,  many direct sale customers are requiring certain food safety standards to be adopted as well. Join Phil Tocco, MSUE Pre-harvest Food Safety Educator and Michelle Walk, Community Food Systems Educator, as they focus on key aspects of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), including Group GAP, during a mock-farm audit that will leave lots of time for questions.  Also discussed is when and how farms with over $25,000 in sales will need to do to comply with the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). The workshop will take place at Pond Hill farms, where a light soup supper will be served. The event is sponsored by the Grain Train and Crosshatch Center  Registration is $15.
