Monday, April 2 through Friday, April 6, 2018 For ages 6 - 11
9 a.m. – 4 p.m.*
Every day at MSU Tollgate Spring Break Farm Camp is an exciting adventure as we move through daily themes to care for baby goats, hatch chicks, help with morning animal chores, take afternoon hikes in the woods, harvest early produce for nutritious Garden Kitchen snacks, engage in a creative week-long STEM project, and experience lots of real science and hands-on fun! A typical camp day will include making yummy and nutritious snacks, caring for our farm animals, sowing seeds in the garden, investigating the natural world of field, forest, and pond. Low child to adult ratios make this camp fill quickly, so register early.
*Aftercare is offered from 4-6 p.m. for $10.00 per hour. Preregistration for camp and aftercare required. Earliest drop-off time is 8:45 a.m. **plus a one-time annual $20 4-H membership fee if not currently enrolled in the program year (Sept. 1, 2017 - Aug. 31, 2018)
4-H is a learn-by-doing, fun, educational program, helping youth in their growth and development and compliments experiences received at home, school and other organizations. With the help of caring adult volunteers, 4-H helps young people gain the skills they need to be successful. As a member of 4-H, there are many other opportunities to get your youngster involved, including approximately 50 4-H clubs in Oakland County where members work with a large variety of project areas, including agriculture, aerospace, community service, horses, science and technology and more.
