Join us in Downtown Kalamazoo for three full days of sessions, mobile tours, Awards banquet and workshops. Mobile tours include a walking tour showcasing historic preservation opportunities, and adaptive reuse/brownfield redevelopment tour featuring a beer tasting and an agricultural tour with lunch and a winetasting.
On Wednesday evening distinguished leaders in the planning field will be honored at the Awards Banquet. Participants will enjoy a cash bar, social hour and dinner. Attend the entire conference and obtain up to 15 AICP Certification Maintenance credits.
The Michigan Citizen Planner Program is again offered to provide MAP's local elected and appointed officials with the planning and zoning essentials you need to keep your community moving in the right direction. Complete all seven Citizen Planner sessions for a certificate of completion from Michigan State University Extension.
This program is intended for new planning commissioners, ZBA members, elected officials, non-profit leaders and interested citizens. For Master Citizen Planners all sessions this year (except the Citizen Planner Program sessions) are designated for Master Citizen Planner Education Credits.
