Mastitis Bacteriology and Herd Decision-­Making

Dairy producers, employees, veterinary technicians and others are invited. This hands-on workshop is for both those who have never cultured bacteria and for those who want to improve their skills. Registration is $115 and includes workshop reference book, laboratory supplies, lunch, snacks and parking. Animart has donated a starter culture kit that contains everything someone would need to get started. That will be given away by drawing to one participant. Participants will learn not only about the organisms and their identification, but how to control them in a dairy herd and what decisions can be made about a cow and herd that is infected.
