Marquette County goLEAD Youth Leadership Institute training Sessions:
The Institute will take place over 4 days:
Friday, Nov. 2: 4 - 9 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 3: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 16: 4 - 9 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 17: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Meals will be provided each day.
This Marquette County goLEAD Youth Leadership Institute is open to all youth between the ages of 12 and 18 as of Jan. 1, 2019.
Program Description - The Marquette County goLEAD Youth Leadership Institute is a fun and engaging experience that will help youth to become powerful teen leaders! Through a series of interactive activities focused on leadership, team building and communication, participants will develop leadership skills and work as a team to plan and lead a community service project!
The Institute will be facilitated by MSU Extension educators Brian Wibby and Jackie Martin. Brian and Jackie are members of the MSU Extension Children and Youth Institute’s Leadership and Civic Engagement team. Jackie is based out of the Washtenaw County MSU Extension office in Ann Arbor and Brian is based in the Marquette County office in Negaunee. Brian and Jackie lead educational programs across the state of Michigan focused on helping youth to develop and apply leadership, civic engagement and global citizenship knowledge and skills.
Cost: The registration fee for currently registered Michigan 4-H members is $30.00. For youth who are new or returning to Michigan 4-H, the registration fee is $50.00. The $50.00 fee for new and returning members includes membership in Michigan 4-H for the entire 2018/2019 4-H program year.
Scholarships: Full and partial scholarships are available upon request for current, returning and new Michigan 4-H members. Please contact Brian Wibby at the Marquette County MSU Extension office for more information: 906-315-2662 or email@example.com.
The deadline to register for the Institute is Oct. 21, 2018, space is limited to 20 participants.
