Having trouble managing substrate pH and EC in your crops? Do you wonder how to alter your substrate pH to provide your crops with optimal plant nutrition? Have you considered changing to an alternative substrate such as coconut coir, pine bark, or wood fiber? On January 24, Dr. Garrett Owen, Floriculture Outreach Specialist for Eastern Michigan, will be discussing these topics from 10-11:30 a.m. in Kent County. Dr. Owen will cover the following topics:

- pH and EC management and corrective procedures
- Alternative substrates
- How alternative substrates affect your pH management
