This food preservation Lunch & Learn will take place on Monday, August 26, from noon to 1:30 p.m., at the Iron County (WI) Courthouse. The topic will be Successful Storage of Garden Produce.
The Lunch and Learn will originate on the campus of the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and be transmitted to attendees by computer web connection.
The session will highlight various ways to store garden produce so that it maintains freshness and nutritional quality, and remains safe for your family to enjoy. Lucia Patritto, western Upper Peninsula educator for MSU Extension, will host the session and will answer food preservation questions following the webinar.
Participants may bring lunch or a snack, as they wish. There is no charge to attend, but registration would be appreciated so that handouts and seating can be arranged.
