Lunch & Learn: Chocolate!

Just for fun, this Lunch and Learn session will focus on Chocolate! We’ll look at how chocolate is made and why it may be considered, in moderation, a ‘healthy’ food.

This session takes place on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, from noon to 1:30 p.m., (CENTRAL time) at the Iron County (WI) Courthouse (Located on Highway 51, with helicopter and tank in front), and is part of the monthly Safe & Healthy: Food Safety and Preservation series (see entire series list below).

It is jointly sponsored by Gogebic County MSU Extension and Iron County University of Wisconsin Extension. The Lunch and Learn will originate on the campus of the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and be transmitted to attendees by computer web connection. MSU western Upper Peninsula Extension educator Lucia Patritto and Iron County UWEX educator Andrea Newby will be available to answer canning and other food preservation questions following the webinar. Participants are invited to bring lunch or a snack, as they wish. There is no charge to attend, but registration would be appreciated so that seating can be arranged.
