The first event in this Lunch and Learn Workshop will provide an overview of homeownership. We will explore the benefits and responsibilities of owning a home, as well as the disadvantages to homeownership. We will look at renting verses buying, and discuss the specific steps to owning a home.
The Lunch and Learn Workshop will continue throughout the next four months, covering a variety of topics:
- July 16, 2014 – Money Management and Goal Setting
- August 20, 2014 – The In-Depth Home Buying Process
- September 17, 2014 – Common Money Problems and Debt
- October 15, 2014 – Insurance, Wills, and Trusts
Each class will take place at Goodwill Corporate Offices, 271 East Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI49442 from noon to 1 p.m. Water and soft drinks will be provided, but participants must bring their own lunch. Participants are encouraged, but not required to attend all five classes in the workshop. The event is free, but seating is limited and registration is required; please call (231) 722-7871 to register.
