Michigan State University Extension and the Kalamazoo Conservation District invite you to take a tour of Great Lakes Greenhouses in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The purpose of this tour will be to demonstrate some of the challenges that greenhouses may face when working through the Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program (MAEAP) process and also to emphasize the merits of this voluntary program through the Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development. Meet Linda Zabik, MAEAP Technician at the Kalamazoo Conservation District and Josh Appleby, MAEAP Verifier with the MDARD. They will provide you with the information and the reasons why MAEAP is a good fit for your operation. Mike and Linda Klooster, of Great Lakes Greenhouses, will also give you their perspectives on the program and why they got involved. MAEAP will set you apart from the pack!
