Ins and Outs of Peer Mentoring Model

Join us for an interactive training focused on defining the “mentor” role when the ages between mentor and mentee are much closer. The training will explore the various approaches to recruiting peer mentors from schools and organizations and identifying youth fit for the role! This session will inform on practices for training peer mentors, the challenges peer mentoring will bring, and how to sustain these mentoring matches.
Lunch will be served.
Cost: $0 for Pre-approved Scholarships, $45 for MSU Extension staff and AmeriCorps Members, $55 for others
Cancellation Fee: After Jan. 5, 2018, there will be a $25 cancellation fee.
MSU Extension is pleased to offer professional development opportunities designed to assist youth development program staff and volunteer administrators in their efforts to provide quality volunteer management. Lunch and snacks will be provided. An email will be sent to participants one week prior to the session confirming attendance and providing any additional instructions.
