Michigan State University Extension will be hosting two, free hop scouting demonstrations for current hop growers. These hands-on workshops will include a review of the major pests of hop as well as how to scout for and identify them. We will also discuss management considerations.
Growers are encouraged to bring unknown plant and insect samples for diagnosis. Please place samples in sealed bags as courtesy to our host farms. These meetings will be held outside rain or shine, so dress accordingly and plan for inclement weather. Registration is required but the program is free. Restricted use pesticides will be available. Contact Erin Lizotte at 231-944-6504 or firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or concerns.
