Buying a house is a huge investment – most likely it is the largest single transaction you will ever make. The last thing you want is to get saddled with surprise costs, a mortgage you cannot afford, or find problems with your new house that could have been found earlier with a proper home inspection. With Home Buyer Education, you will come into your housing search with valuable information about the process that will help you navigate the technicalities and avoid falling into a money pit.

You will learn:

  • The advantages of homeownership
  • Steps in the home buying process
  • The costs of home ownership
  • Why good credit is important
  • How to determine how much house you can afford
  • Who is on your home buying team
  • Mortgage loan basics
  • How to maintain your investment

Classes are free and open to the public.

Dates for this series: Tuesday's at 6 pm: Nov. 11, Nov. 18 and Nov. 25, 2014
