Home Landscaping Basics with Smart Gardening

Class will focus on what it takes to have a successful home landscape using Smart Gardening techniques; topics will include design, installation and proper planting and maintenance. Possible for individuals to create their own landscape design and/or determine solutions to improve an existing one. Part of class will be outside (weather dependent) and will involve hands-on landscaping activities, so participants need to be prepared to be in the sun and do gardening activities. Class will be held at the Iron County Historical Museum.

Pre-registration is required by July 3 by calling the Iron County MSU Extension at 906-875-0606. Class fee is $50; this includes a 3-ring course handbook, educational resources, face to face instruction by an Extension Educator, individualized advice, chance to meet other gardening enthusiasts, and the opportunity to help improve the Iron County Historical Museum's Landscape.
