Scouting for chestnut pests is critical to environmental and economic sustainability. Michigan State University Extension will be hosting two, IPM workshops for current growers. These hands-on workshops will include a review of major pests and a discussion about the value of cover cropping.

Growers are encouraged to bring unknown plant and insect samples for diagnosis. Please place samples in sealed bags as a courtesy to our host farms. These meetings will be held outside rain or shine, so dress accordingly and plan for inclement weather. Registration is required but the program is free. Restricted use pesticides will be available.
