Buying a house is a huge investment - most likely the largest single transaction you will ever make. Come to Homeownership Education class, you will learn valuable information regarding the process to help you navigate the technicalities and avoid falling into a money pit. You will learn:
- Pros and cons of homeownership
- Importance of good credit
- Steps in the home buying process
- How to determine how much house you can afford
- Costs of homeownership
- Mortgage loan basics
Current programs available to assist in purchasing a home. This is a 2 part 6 hour class
MSU Extension is a HUD/MSHDA approved housing agency and this is a certification class.
